Sailing Lessons
Sheltered from Penobscott Bay, Stockton Harbor is the perfect place for the beginner to learn the art of sailing. And once you have your sea legs, the bay is just beyond the point, an easy ten minutes away.
You will not only learn to hoist sail and steer the boat, but also to navigate, inspect the engine, haul mooring lines and other essential boating skills.

Day Three
- Skipper the boat
- Watch-keeping
- Create a route to Stockton Springs
- Chartwork
- Practical hands-on experience utilizing the rules of the road.
- Sailing a course from waypoints
- Radar
- Maintaining a VHF radio log
- Maintain the ships log
- Navigate the upper reaches of the Penobscot River under sail and engine.
- Navigate to a position provided by the instructor.
- Moor the vessel at Stockton Springs.
